SUMMARY:
Are you young, but has the maturity and emotional intelligence to handle challenging, emotionally charged situations? We are seeking a highly organized Junior Legal Secretary to support a Family Law Attorney in Randfontein.

POSITION INFO:

This role requires someone who can provide administrative and support to clients while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and discretion.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide administrative support to the attorney specializing in Family Law.
Coordinate day-to-day office operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of the office while the attorney is frequently in court.
Assist in managing client communications, including phone calls, emails, and appointments, with a focus on empathy and professionalism.
Organize and schedule meetings, court appearances, and other appointments.
Maintain an effective filing system for both digital and physical files.

Key Requirements:

Emotional intelligence – the ability to relate to clients going through personal challenges.
Strong administrative skills with the ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Highly computer literate with an above average typing speed on MS Word (Dictation).
Excellent communication skills in both English and Afrikaans, both written and verbal.
2 years' administration experience.
Previous experience in a legal environment is advantageous.
A strong sense of initiative and a proactive attitude.
Flexibility and the ability to cope with a varied workload.
