Position: Junior Interior Designer – Multi-Sector
Location: Umhlanga-Durban
R14 000 – R18 000 – CTC (experience depending)
We are seeking a Junior Interior Designer to support projects across luxury residential, retail, hospitality, and corporate interiors. This role is ideal for a design graduate or early-career professional looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional design environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with concept development, space planning, and layouts
- Prepare mood boards, material palettes, and presentations
- Produce 2D drawings and assist with 3D modelling/rendering
- Support furniture, finishes, fabrics, and lighting selection
- Assist with site visits, installations, and project documentation
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Interior Design / Interior Architecture
- 0–2 years’ experience (internships accepted)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; SketchUp/Revit advantageous
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
Advantageous
- Exposure to luxury, retail, hospitality, or corporate interiors
- Experience with 3D rendering software
- Valid driver’s license
