SUMMARY:
Do you have exceptional attention to detail and a sound understanding of leave administration and South African labour legislation?

Based in Bellville, a well-established manufacturing concern is looking for an organised HR Assistant to manage attendance, leave cycles, sick leave, disciplinary records and employee queries for a workforce of approximately 100 employees.

This role requires an HR qualification, excellent communication skills, and strong Excel proficiency.

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12 (Matric) + a HR qualification
Strong knowledge of SA Labour Law
Min 2-3 years' experience in a payroll, wage administration, HR administration, or time and attendance environment
Experience working with time and attendance systems
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Knowledge of payroll processes, leave administration, and employee record management
Strong administrative and organisational skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work to strict deadlines and manage multiple priorities

DUTIES

Monitor and manage employee attendance, including absenteeism, late arrivals, early departures, leave verification, and attendance record maintenance
Administer sick leave processes, including validation, documentation, compliance monitoring, and escalation of exceptions
Maintain accurate payroll-related attendance data, report exceptions, validate hours, and support weekly payroll processing
Prepare and distribute payroll reports and payslips
Coordinate employee onboarding, including documentation, system setup, personnel file creation, and HR updates
Maintain employee records, HR documentation, education records, and BEE information
Support disciplinary, counselling, and attendance-related investigations and processes
Compile and provide attendance statistics and HR-related reports to management
Process IOD claims, employee terminations, and related exit documentation
Administer bursary applications and ongoing bursary records
Provide general HR administrative support and respond to information requests as required

Salary: R10,000 ctc negotiable dependent on experience, provident fund and medical.
