Junior Firewall Engineer

SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Junior Firewall Engineer to join our security team. This is a mainly remote, Cape Town-based position primarily dedicated to supporting a large enterprise client.

The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day firewall operations, including configuration, new deployments, policy changes, VPN support, troubleshooting, monitoring, ticket management, and documentation.

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENTS

• 1 to 3 years of production firewall experience
• Firewall administration must have been a primary job function
• Strong networking knowledge
• Experience with firewall policies, NAT, VPNs, logging, and troubleshooting
• A relevant industry or vendor firewall qualification
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Based in Cape Town
