About the Opportunity

Our client, a fast-growing technology company operating within the retail sector, is seeking a dynamic and commercially minded Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) to join their team.
This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on finance professional who completed their articles at a small to mid-tier audit or accounting firm and is comfortable managing a broad finance portfolio. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting business growth by delivering accurate financial reporting, strengthening controls, and providing valuable financial insights to operational teams.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Manage the full accounting function, including transaction processing, reconciliations, and monthly management reporting.
Review and oversee the work of bookkeeping and finance support staff.
Monitor and manage cash flow, including forecasting and liquidity planning.
Provide financial analysis and support to operational and management teams.
Prepare and present reports to the global leadership team.
Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and internal controls.
Support business decision-making through accurate and timely financial information.

Minimum Requirements

Qualified and registered CA(SA).
Minimum of 2 years' post-articles experience.
Previous experience gained in a small to mid-tier audit or accounting firm (non-negotiable).
Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial modelling.
Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and manage multiple deadlines.
Experience working with cloud-based accounting systems, preferably Xero.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
