Location: Pretoria East with International Travel Opportunities

Most Junior Electricians spend their early careers doing the same work, on the same sites, with the same equipment.

We're seeking a motivated and technically minded Junior Electrician who is eager to build a long-term career within a specialized engineering environment. This opportunity offers hands-on exposure to industrial equipment, electrical systems, automation technologies, and international projects.
The successful candidate will travel to Europe for project assignments lasting up to three months at a time, with a maximum of six months' travel per year. All travel-related expenses will be covered by the company during international assignments.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
Perform fault finding and troubleshooting on electrical and control systems.
Support preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
Assist with electrical panel wiring, testing, and modifications.
Interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
Work closely with engineers, technicians, and project teams on local and international assignments.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and company procedures.
Complete maintenance records, inspection reports, and project documentation.

Minimum Requirements

Trade Tested Electrician.
1-3 years of electrical experience within an industrial, manufacturing, automation, or engineering environment.
Basic understanding of electrical fault finding and maintenance practices.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Valid driver's licence.
Valid passport or willingness to obtain one.
Willingness and ability to travel internationally for extended periods.

Advantageous Experience

Exposure to PLCs and industrial automation systems.
Experience with manufacturing equipment and machinery.
Experience with control panels, sensors, drives, and motors.
Basic commissioning experience.
Knowledge of industrial electrical regulations and safety standards.
