Our client is a dynamic and entrepreneurial financial services company specializing in commercial funding solutions for businesses across South Africa. They partner with a wide network of financial institutions to structure innovative finance solutions that help businesses acquire assets, improve cash flow, and achieve sustainable growth.

This is an immediately available opportunity, and our client is looking to appoint a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Finance Manager as soon as possible. POSITION INFO:
Working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, you will gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of financial transactions, funding structures, and reporting requirements while working alongside experienced finance professionals. If you enjoy improving processes, analyzing financial information, and taking ownership of your work, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing the day-to-day accounting function and maintaining accurate financial records.
Processing journals, invoices, and financial transactions.
Assisting with monthly management accounts and month-end reporting.
Performing bank, balance sheet, creditor, and debtor reconciliations.
Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Supporting the administration and accounting of asset finance transactions.
Maintaining fixed asset registers and processing depreciation.
Preparing cash flow reports, financial forecasts, board reports, and audit schedules.
Assisting with VAT, statutory submissions, and audit requirements.
Monitoring financial controls and identifying opportunities to improve finance processes.
Maintaining accurate financial information within accounting and ERP systems.
Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers, auditors, and funding partners.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Education:

Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum 3 years' experience in an accounting or finance role.
Experience within financial services, commercial lending, or asset finance will be highly advantageous.
Previous exposure to ERP systems and accounting software.
Candidates who are immediately available or can start on short notice will be given preference.

Skills:

Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Strong reconciliation and analytical abilities.
Working knowledge of IFRS.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience working with online banking platforms and accounting systems.
Knowledge of VAT and other South African statutory requirements.
