SUMMARY:
Junior Bookkeeper – Pietermaritzburg
Our client is seeking a Junior Bookkeeper with experience in legal trust bookkeeping and related trust account processes.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities:

• Bookkeeping to trial balance
• Legal trust bookkeeping in line with compliance requirements
• Online banking payments (Nedbank and FNB)
• Processing Section 86(4) investments on Nedbank
• Bank, trust account and ledger reconciliations
• Assist with month-end tasks and maintain accurate financial records

• 1–2 years’ bookkeeping experience (Trust accounting experience essential)
• Knowledge of legal trust bookkeeping and Section 86(4) investments
• Experience with Nedbank and FNB online banking
• Strong accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Relevant bookkeeping/finance certificate or qualification (Advantageous)
• Relevant tertiary qualification (Certificate/Diploma)
• Proficiency with relevant accounting software
• Exceptional attention to detail and high integrity
