SUMMARY:
Our client, a well-established boutique law firm, is seeking a Junior Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in estate administration, with the ability to manage deceased estates from start to finish. Admission as a Conveyancer or conveyancing experience would be a strong advantage.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

LLB degree (Bachelor of Laws) – essential.
Admitted Attorney (at least 3 years post-admission experience).
Admission as a Conveyancer (advantageous but not essential).
Practical experience in Estate Administration and reviewing/finalising L&D accounts.
Own reliable transport.
Must be fluent in Afrikaans & English.

Responsibilities:

Manage deceased estates from initiation to finalization.
Ensure all legal and compliance requirements are met in estate administration.
Provide accurate and timely advice to clients and beneficiaries.
Contribute effectively as a team player within the firm.
Uphold strong administrative and organizational standards.

Draft, review, and process estate-related legal documents.
Review and finalize L&D (Liquidation and Distribution) accounts.
Liaise with clients, beneficiaries, the Master’s Office, and other relevant authorities.
Track deadlines and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Assist with conveyancing matters (if qualified or experienced in conveyancing).
Maintain accurate estate files, records, and correspondence.
