Junior Accountant - Midrand, Johannesburg

Our client, a reputable accounting firm, is looking to appoint a Junior Accountant for a permanent position based on-site in Midrand. The successful candidate will work on a consulting basis at one of their key clients and will be responsible for performing essential accounting functions within the client’s finance team.

This is not a remote position, and it offers an excellent opportunity for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a structured, client-focused environment.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric Certificate
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting (e.g. BCom Accounting or similar)
• Previous experience as an accountant or junior accountant
• Reliable transport
• Strong working knowledge of accounting functions
• Proficiency in capturing and reconciling financial data
• Able to work full-time on-site in Midrand
• Availability to start before 27 June 2025

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform bank reconciliations, bank imports, and bank allocations
• Process and capture supplier invoices
• Conduct supplier reconciliations
• Reconcile loan accounts
• Assist with general ledger and financial reporting tasks
• Maintain accurate financial records and adhere to deadlines
• Collaborate with the client’s internal finance team to ensure smooth operations
