Junior Accountant

POSITION INFO:

We are looking for a motivated and detailâoriented Junior Accountant to support the finance team with dayâtoâday accounting functions and financial administration. This role is ideal for an accounting graduate with practical experience who is ready to grow in a structured environment.

Typical Duties & Responsibilities:

Capture and process accounting transactions and journals
Assist with monthly reconciliations (bank, debtor, creditor, and balance sheet)
Support monthâend and yearâend financial close activities
Assist with the preparation of management accounts and reports
Process invoices and maintain accurate financial records
Assist with VAT calculations and basic statutory compliance
Support audit preparation and respond to audit queries
Maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting policies

Experience & Qualifications:

BCom Degree (minimum requirement)
2+ years’ relevant accounting experience
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Exposure to accounting or ERP systems (advantageous)

Skills & Attributes:

Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Wellâorganised with good time management skills
Willingness to learn and take initiative
Good communication skills and a positive attitude
Able to work independently and within a team
