SUMMARY:

ð Junior Accountant

ð Location: Bedfordview / Cleveland area
ð Reporting to: Group Finance Manager
A dynamic and growing organisation is looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who enjoys working in a structured environment and wants to gain exposure across the full accounting function.

POSITION INFO:

ð Key Responsibilities

As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for:

Maintaining detailed General Ledger (GL) records and processing journals up to Trial Balance
Managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cash Book processes
Processing ad hoc invoices
Overseeing cash book processes and resolving related queries
Managing Fixed Asset Register (FAR) and CAPEX processes
Performing monthly VAT reconciliations
Preparing daily sales reports
Conducting financial analysis and providing commentary on variances
Assisting internal and external auditors with required information
Preparing budgets for allocated branches
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies
Assisting with ad hoc reporting and finance-related duties

ð Minimum Requirements

Matric (Grade 12)
BCom Degree in Accounting
2–3 years’ experience in a similar role
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience with Syspro (advantageous)
