POSITION INFO:

6-Month Contract | Immediate Start | Northern Suburbs, Cape Town

A well-established business in the furniture industry is looking for a hands-on and detail-driven Junior Accountant to join their finance team on a six-month contract.

This role is ideal for someone who is immediately available and looking to gain solid, practical experience within a small, busy finance team. You'll be involved in the day-to-day accounting function and play an important role in keeping the finance operation running smoothly and accurately.

What you'll be responsible for

Daily Sage processing, including banking, invoices, journals, and intercompany transactions
Accounting reconciliations as required
General finance administration support
Assisting with payroll processing from time to time
Responding to information requests from creditors and internal staff
Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc accounting and administrative tasks

What we're looking for

Matric (essential)
Certificate or Diploma in Accounting
Sage processing experience
Basic Excel skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Well-organised, reliable, and able to work well in a team
Good communication skills

Important to note

This is a six-month contract role
The successful candidate must be immediately available
The role is full-time and office-based in the Northern Suburbs
