Jnr Tax Administrator

SUMMARY:
An established professional services firm is looking for a detail-oriented Junior Tax Administrator / Tax Technician to support its growing tax practice. This role is ideal for someone with practical tax administration experience who is comfortable working on SARS eFiling and managing a variety of tax-related submissions under the guidance of senior team members.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit various tax returns via SARS eFiling
• Assist with income tax, provisional tax, dividends tax, and related submissions
• Draft professional correspondence to SARS and clients
• Assist with SARS verifications, reviews, audits, objections, and supporting documentation
• Maintain and manage eFiling profiles and tax-related records
• Support tax registrations, deregistrations, and compliance processes
• Assist with trust and beneficial ownership submissions
• Provide administrative support to the Senior Tax Practitioner
• Maintain accurate records and ensure deadlines are met
• Perform general office administration duties as required
• Coordinate stationery orders and office supplies
• Assist with overseeing office service providers, including cleaning staff
• Provide general operational support to the team when needed

• 2–3+ years' experience in a tax administration role
• Hands-on experience with SARS eFiling submissions
• Ability to work independently and manage tax submissions with minimal supervision
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively

• Good understanding of SARS eFiling processes
• Experience drafting professional correspondence
• Strong Afrikaans communication skills (read, write, and speak)
• Positive, team-oriented attitude
• Willingness to assist with both tax and general office administration duties

• SAIT registration
• Exposure to Xero Accounting Software and/or Xero Practice Management
• Experience with Konsise Tax Software or similar platforms
• Exposure to trust taxation
• Previous experience within an accounting or tax practice

• Fluent in Afrikaans and English (read, write, and speak)
• Own reliable transport
• Able to work from the office (this is not a remote role)
• Professional, organised, and able to manage multiple client portfolios
