POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:
·           A paralegal qualification / diploma
·           1-2 years’ experience in an administrative / legal role is preferred
·           Must be proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel and Outlook
·           Must have a working knowledge of AJS software
·           Good understanding of FICA requirements
·           Good time management, file organisation and personal organisation
·           Excellent communication and writing skills
·           Meticulous attention to detail

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• New Matter Setup: Opening new files on AJS, preparing introductory letters and initiating FICA and KYC processes
• File Management: Maintaining physical and electronic files, ensuring they are organised and complete with all relevant documentation
• Administrative Support: Handle general administrative tasks such as scanning, copying, filing, deliveries and archiving of files
• Financial Management: Assist with financial aspects of transactions, including preparing of accounts, assisting with reversals, journals, ensuring that third party accounts and Sheriff’s invoices be sent to the Accounts Department for capturing on AJS
• Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues and external parties
• Compliance: Adhere to legal and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with FICA, KYC and other relevant laws
