Inventory Clerk
East Rand

Job Description:
The Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and integrity within the Parts Distribution Centre through effective inventory control, stock reconciliation, cycle counting, and inventory transaction management using integrated inventory, warehousing and stock management systems. The role supports operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and service level targets across the business.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate inventory records and stock integrity.
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and stock variances.
Reconcile physical inventory against system records.
Monitor stock movements, transfers, adjustments, and inventory transactions.
Support annual stock takes and audit requirements.
Ensure accurate inventory transactions through RF scanning and barcode systems.
Monitor and report on slow-moving, obsolete, and aged inventory
Maintain accurate bin locations and warehouse inventory integrity.
Assist with receiving, put-away, picking, and dispatch inventory verification.
Prepare and distribute inventory performance reports
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and inventory control standards.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric)
Diploma or certificate in Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehousing or Inventory Management will be advantageous
Minimum 3 years' experience in inventory control within a warehouse environment.
Experience working with integrated inventory and warehouse management systems.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills advantageous
