DIGITAL MEDIA INTERN - MIDRAND
Closing date Friday 17 April 2026
Gijima is looking to recruit Digital Media interns who can assist with content creation, social media management, podcast video production and support. Candidates MUST have an IT qualification relevant to Multimedia etc.

POSITION INFO:
The criteria is as follows: -

Candidates must have completed a 3-year tertiary qualification (National diploma, degree, diploma) in IT (i.e. National Diploma IT Multimedia, Graphic Design or Bachelor of Information Science Multimedia)
Candidates must be computer literate and must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Candidates must have NO criminal record

Candidates must currently be unemployed
Candidates must not be participating on another learnership or internship program
Candidates must not be studying at any other institution (including distance learning)
Candidates must live in the greater Midrand area (relocation is NOT an option)
Candidates must be under the age of 35 as of 1 April 2026
Candidates must be a South African Citizen – African, White, Coloured and Indian

Core Requirements: -

Audio and video editing for podcasts and digital content production
Videography support – setting up video equipment, shooting interviews
Podcast production – recording, editing and publishing podcasts
Content distribution over social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, X/Twitter)
Meticulous with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Possess excellent command of the English language
Good time management and organisational skills
Ability to work in a team

Required Skills

Proficiency in Canva, Figma, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Audacity or equivalent, Adobe creative suite
Basic videography (operating cameras, setting up lighting. Interview shooting)
Podcast production, editing and publishing
Social media content creation and scheduling
Added skills – familiarity with Spotify for Podcasters, Buzzsprout or similar hosting platforms, Copywriting or caption writing.
