Internal Sales Consultant

SUMMARY:
Our client is a leading supplier of quality products and solutions to the hospitality and accommodation industry, supporting businesses across Southern Africa with reliable service and industry expertise. They are recruiting for a dynamic and target-driven Internal Sales Consultant / Telesales Consultant to join a growing sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities while nurturing and expanding existing customer relationships.
 
This role requires a proactive sales professional who enjoys prospecting, building relationships, and converting opportunities into long-term business partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
 
New Business Development

• Identify and secure new customers within the hospitality and accommodation sector.
• Conduct proactive outbound sales activities, including cold calling, lead generation, and email campaigns.
• Build and manage a pipeline of prospective clients.
• Prepare and follow up on quotations and proposals.
• Convert opportunities into long-term customer relationships.
• Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
• Identify opportunities to increase account value and sales revenue.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support.
• Follow up on orders, quotations, deliveries, and customer enquiries.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Drive customer retention and repeat business.

• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain customer records and sales data on company systems.
• Prepare sales reports and provide management feedback.
• Liaise with internal departments regarding stock availability and deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in Internal Sales, Business Development, or Account Management.
• Proven track record of generating new business and achieving sales targets.
• Experience within hospitality, FMCG, wholesale, distribution, or related industries will be advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience working with CRM and/or ERP systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
