Internal Sales Consultant

POSITION INFO:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Internal Sales Consultant to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end new business sales process, providing exceptional client service, and consistently achieving sales targets within the short-term insurance sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate and manage new business opportunities from leads, referrals, and existing clients.
• Obtain and compare quotations from multiple insurers.
• Present insurance solutions and provide professional advice to clients.
• Ensure all compliance requirements are met prior to policy inception.
• Prepare and submit complete new business documentation.
• Maintain accurate client records and compliance files.
• Liaise with insurers regarding quotations, underwriting queries, and policy requirements.
• Follow up on quotations and convert opportunities into successful sales.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and business partners.
• Meet and exceed monthly sales and conversion targets.
• Stay up to date with insurer products, market trends, and regulatory requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• 3–5 years'' experience in an Internal Sales, Personal Lines, or Commercial Sales role within the short-term insurance industry.
• Relevant insurance qualification.
• RE5 Qualification completed.
• Class of Business completed.
• Sound knowledge of FAIS legislation and compliance requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong administrative and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
