Job & Company Description:

This industrial company is a JSE-listed establishment operating on a multinational level with its primary operation in South Africa.  The company is a leading specialist in its field and prides itself in being a major contributor in South Africa’s economy over the years. An ideal candidate will be expected to co-ordinate and identify financial statements, risks, control objectives, mitigating controls, ensuring the proper completion/updating of RACMs.

Job Responsibilities:

Include the following, but not limited to:

• Co-ordinating the configuration and population of the CSA Tool
• Providing the first line of support for the CSA Tool
• Training new users on the CSA Tool
• Co-ordinating the control self-assessment process, timing, and reports within are of responsibility
• Regularly attending IFRC Controls Champions meetings to report and assess CSA results involving CSA testing, controls implementation, issues arising, areas requiring improvement
• Reporting on controls to the Segment CFO and BU CFO/FD''s
• Interacting with risk champions and co-ordinate activities impacting risks and controls
• Monitoring and co-ordinating internal financial control and IT General control remediation programme for the segment
• Interacting with internal audit on testing strategies of controls and results of their Internal Audits
• Participate in the bi-annual risk meetings and provide inputs to the meeting on the current major risks and way to mitigate those

 Education:

• Newly qualified CA (SA)

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• 3-5 years’ work experience (if not newly qualified CA)
• Deadline orientated
• Excellent analytical thinking
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Strong Communication Skills (Verbal and Written)
• Strong planning and organisational skills
