SUMMARY:
Our client in Boksburg requires a CONTRACT Instrumentation Technician to join their Maintenance team to take responsibility for the modifications, installations, and maintenance of instrumentation systems to ensure safe and accurate operation of all equipment, processes, and systems.

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications

Grade 12

N6 /S4 Electronic Engineering

National Diploma: Electronic Engineering

Experience

Instrumentation maintenance and calibration

PLC Programming and experience Siemens S7

PLC Programming and experience Siemens S5

Fault Finding

HMI Experience

Key Responsibilities

Installation and commissioning of instrumentation equipment/systems

Safe and effective completion of all equipment installations/modification
Certification of such installations (where applicable)

Ensure installations and equipment comply with the relevant standards and are in excellent working condition

Refer to engineering drawings and manuals.
Reporting and correcting defects.
Ensure duly completed inspections of all necessary equipment and systems

Maintenance of equipment and systems

Complete scheduled maintenance as required
COmplete maintenance/breakdowns as per job card system
Effective and efficitent management of job cards

Keeping of records, history and costs

Data capturing of materials and costs
Detailed completion of all documentation and Certification of calibration of all instrumentation requirements
