IT Technician

SUMMARY:
Provide excellent first and second level onsite support including hardware, software and system configuration for the Configuration cluster in accordance with service level agreements

POSITION INFO:

Technical Knowledge and Requirements

• Grade 12, Diploma in Information Technology, relevant qualification or demonstrated equivalent work experience. IT certificate (Please attach all relevant qualifications)
• 3+ years or more technical areas of IT/end user support. A+ and N+ would be beneficial. ITIL foundations and certificate preferable.
• Collaboration Tools: MS365 Email/SharePoint/MS Teams/WebEx Zoom/Intune including Active Directory.
• Working knowledge of current Office Suites, mobile devices, and other tech products
• Knowledgeable of new technologies
• Proficient in desktop operating systems and productivity applications
• Ability to solve problems involving several options, requires strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Exceptional attention to detail, proactive and energetic
• Able to work in a team environment and independently
• Ability to adapt and adjust to changing work situations, processes and procedures
• Advanced ability to document processes, workflows and write technical materials
• Proactive and hands on approach
• Problem solving abilities essential, to resolve user issues quickly
• Strong written, verbal and communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

Job Responsibilities:

• Providing service and customer support during field visits
• Troubleshoot issues with IT equipment including printers, computers, tablets, cell phones, as well as software applications
• Research and propose resolutions for IT issues reported by users
• Assist in system analysis, design, development with business activities
• Provide support in development, implementation and test patch releases and system upgrades
• Assist in configuration of company application based on requirements;
• Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions;
• Maintain inventory, computer hardware and repair records
• Install PC hardware, configure and manage software
• Assist in training, development and education for new software and hardware
• Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders when necessary
• Produce detailed service reports
• Maintain and assist to enhance configuration policies and procedures
• Operate vehicle in a safe manner and use of field automation systems
• Includes ensuring proper computer, audiovisual, smartphone and other technology-based operations, so that end users can accomplish team goals
• Assist in documenting commonly occurring issues and fixes
• Willingness to work flexible hours with occasional evening and weekend work
• Remote and agile working is necessary with business requirements.
• Able to work outside of normal business requirements
