Hospitality Hire SA is recruiting on behalf of our client, a prestigious 4* hotel in Bantry Bay, Cape Town, that is on an exciting journey to greatness!

Key Responsibilities

Systems & Network Support

Provide first-line support for all IT systems, hardware, and software.
Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure, connectivity, and security.
Manage hotel systems including Opera PMS, point-of-sale (POS), and back-office applications.

Operational IT Support

Ensure all IT-related equipment is functioning optimally across the property.
Install, configure, and upgrade hardware, software, and operating systems.
Respond promptly to IT service requests, minimising downtime for staff and guests.

Data & Security Management

Monitor data backups, system updates, and user access controls.
Maintain compliance with data security and confidentiality policies.
Support cybersecurity initiatives and ensure systems are protected against threats.

Vendor & Asset Management

Liaise with IT vendors and service providers for repairs, upgrades, and support.
Track IT assets, licences, and warranties, ensuring accurate records.
Manage procurement of IT-related equipment in line with budget and policy.

Team & Communication

Provide training and guidance to staff on IT systems and tools.
Support other departments with IT-related needs to ensure seamless hotel operations.
Communicate effectively with management on IT issues, risks, and recommendations.

Requirements

Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in IT support or technician role (hospitality sector advantageous)
Relevant IT qualification or certification (A+, N+, MCSE, or similar)
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Knowledge of Opera PMS, POS systems, and hotel technology platforms (advantageous)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and under pressure
