This learnership is a 12-month intensive development Programme commencing. It allows individuals to gain valuable working experience and theoretical training. The Tolcon Learnership Programme will provide you with a solid foundation for a successful career in the IT field.
 
Employment Specification

• Grade 12
• IT Qualification
• Any further formal IT related studies will be advantages or studying towards IT qualification
• Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Word & Excel);
• No experience needed
• Applicants must be South African citizens with a valid South African ID number.
• Applicants must be under the age of 35.
• Preference will be given to disabled applicants.

• Working conditions are normal for an office

1. Learn to organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work.
2. Learn security and privacy compliance of networks and computer systems.
3. Learn to install and configure appropriate hardware, software, and functions according to specifications and company standards.
4. Learn to set-up, configure and maintain computer, user and e-mail accounts on all systems
5. Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate software and computer equipment.
6. Learn to Manage and revise the layout of SharePoint, as well as the customization on SharePoint site for company purposes.
7. Learn the monitoring, troubleshooting and provide technical support for SharePoint users.
8. Learn to maintain records of SharePoint updates, maintenance, and activity.
9. Ensuring distribution of operating system, company standard applications, and antivirus updates.
10. Maintain and monitor communication infrastructure to remote sites.
11. General end user hardware and software support that includes troubleshooting and successful resolution of incidents and problems.
12. Understand service desk ticketing, successful resolution of assigned incidents and problem tickets, and meeting SLAs.
