SUMMARY:
A leading Waste Management company is seeking the services of a Human Resources Compliance Generalist [HR; Payroll; and Transformation] for its Depot in Germiston

JOB DESCRIPTION:

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Mitigate risks by developing programs, guidelines, processes, policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate and improve existing HR, Payroll and Transformation practices to introduce new perspectives, trends, and processes.
  • Stay abreast with all regulatory compliance associated with the portfolio
  • Drive the development of diversity, equity and inclusion programs
  • Draft and review employment equity plans and projects including but not limited to maintenance of employment equity committees, meetings and all other requirements as per the Employment Equity Act.
  • Draft and submit operational and risk identification reports which includes Board reports amongst others.
  • Review and assist in completing tender documentation and other relevant agreements as and when required for South Africa and Mozambique related to the portfolio.
  • Draft and conduct Training and Induction Programmes to managers and new employees on portfolio related Compliance.
  • Upskilling of department on relevant compliance related matters related to the portfolio.
  • Facilitate compliance related audit for the compliance portfolio.
  • Oversee Expatriate and Immigration compliance related to work permits amongst others
  • Oversee HR Social Functions.
  • Assist the HR Director on adhoc matters.
  • Assist the HR Director and Group IR Officer with preparation of IR Matters (Grievances,
  • Disciplinaries, Suspension documents for Senior Personnel as and when required
  • Attend to Conciliation and Arbitration matters, where required
  • Consolidate and Report on all Group Risk Claims to the HR Director
  • Assist the HR Director and Transformation on BBBEE Audits
  • Assisting the HR with adhoc personal matters which could include diary Management amongst others.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Extensive regulatory knowledge associated with portfolio such as LRA, BBBEE, COIDA, BCEA, SDA, EEA amongst others.
  • Driver’s License
  • Comprehensive experience with IR Matters
  • Extensive experience with Employment Equity
  • Extensive experience with drafting of policies and compliance

 

EDUCATION LEVEL

  • Legal degree, and or  BCom Honours Degree
