HR Generalist – Durban
R360 000 – R480 000 per annum

My client in the entertainment industry is looking to hire a seasoned HR generalist to join their dynamic company. The successful incumbent will carry out a variety of Human Resource functions within the HR Department.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
 
  • Maintaining employee files in compliance with applicable legal requirements and keeping employee records up to date.
  • Preparing paperwork required to place employee on payroll
  • Help in the hiring process by coordinating job posting on Web site, reviewing resumes, performing telephone interviews and reference checks.
  • Effectively administrating the transformation processes, setting up of Employee relations and administration.
  • Taking part in the roll-out of HR initiatives/projects
  • Teaching staff and management on policies and procedures to ensure correct implementation and adherence.
  • Coordinating health, life and disability insurance enrolments and communicate with service providers concerning routine administration of programs.
  • Effectively establishing, maintaining, building, and managing client relationships at all levels to ensure we are successfully helping clients achieve their business strategies.
  • Providing L&D advice to individuals, teams, and programs.
  • Aiding with BBBEE verification audits
  • Managing and coordinating training requirements for differing levels of the organization based on current and future capability and mandatory needs, whilst ensuring the effective management of a centralized L&D budget.
  • Promoting available training opportunities to employees as well as driving a learning culture.
 
 
QUALIFICATION, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
 
  • Microsoft Office, Advance Excel (non-negotiable)
  • Experience with HRIS systems, Sage People 300
  • 5-8 years’ Experience in HR
  • Relevant degree in human resources, business or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with working on People 300 HR, EE and Training Modules
  • BBBEE knowledge
  • Knowledge of Learning and Development
  • Knowledge of IR
  • Knowledge of labour law, labour practices, payroll processes,
