Tsogo Sun is seeking an experienced, highly organised and operationally focused HR Consultant to join the HR Operations team.

This is a hands-on generalist position suited to a mature HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced corporate environment where accuracy, compliance and exceptional service delivery are essential.

The successful candidate will provide end-to-end HR support across the employee lifecycle, working closely with the HR Operations Manager to ensure that all HR processes, administration and documentation are completed accurately and on time.

• Provide end-to-end HR support across the employee lifecycle.

• Prepare employment contracts, letters and other HR documentation.

• Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding processes.

• Manage probation reviews and employment confirmations.

• Maintain accurate employee records and HR files.

• Process employee changes, transfers and promotions.

• Coordinate leave administration.

• Prepare monthly HR reports and statistics.

• Maintain accurate filing, document control and HR system records.

• Prepare HR packs for meetings and employee-relations processes.

• Support disciplinary and grievance processes.

• Assist with workplace investigations.

• Prepare documentation for disciplinary hearings.

• Ensure that processes comply with company policies and labour legislation.

• Coordinate recruitment administration.

• Schedule interviews and support hiring managers.

• Conduct reference checks.

• Prepare offers and appointment documentation.

• Assist throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.

• Support HR operational projects.

• Assist with policy implementation.

• Identify and implement HR process improvements.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the HR function.

• Eight to ten or more years of generalist HR experience.

• Proven end-to-end HR operational experience.

• Strong HR administration experience.

• Excellent knowledge of South African labour legislation.

• Experience supporting managers and stakeholders at all levels.

• Previous experience within a large corporate environment.

• Experience using an HR information system.

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.

This is an operational HR role rather than a strategic HR Business Partner position. It is best suited to someone who genuinely enjoys HR administration, compliance, process management and employee service delivery.
