Hillcrest - Are you a detail-oriented payroll professional looking to take the next step in your HR career? Join a dynamic and growing retail group head office, supporting the HR Manager across payroll processing and core HR operations.

POSITION INFO:
A prominent and well-established South African retail group operating in the fast-paced grocery and fresh market sector.

Reporting directly to the HR Manager at the group’s head office, the Payroll & HR Assistant will oversee the monthly payroll processing for employees and provide essential administrative support across general HR functions.

Key Responsibilities

Processing and balancing full-function monthly payroll.
Managing payroll input, processing allowances, deductions, and leave administration.
Assisting the HR Manager with day-to-day HR operational and administrative duties.
Maintaining accurate employee record systems and personnel files.
Resolving payroll and HR-related queries from employees in a professional manner.

Requirements

Grade 12 / Completed Matric qualification.
Tertiary qualification or certification in Human Resources (highly advantageous).
Proven experience in monthly payroll processing (experience with Sage VIP or similar payroll software preferred).
Experience managing payroll for a headcount of 200–300 employees.
Valid driver’s licence and reliable personal vehicle.

Salary
R20 000 – R25 000CTC per month.
