Group & Conference Team Leader

SUMMARY:
We are looking for an experienced Group & Conference Team Leader to join our clients team and drive excellence in group bookings, conference sales, and client service delivery. As Group & Conference Team Leader, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for managing group and conference bookings from enquiry through to confirmation. You'll combine strong people leadership with sharp commercial and analytical skills to maximise revenue while delivering outstanding client experiences.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive and productive working environment
• Onboard new team members, identify development needs, and provide ongoing coaching and training
• Monitor team performance, delegate tasks effectively, and oversee daily and weekly operations
• Ensure full compliance with company policies and procedures
• Oversee the accuracy of client quotations and manage effective follow-up processes to maximise booking conversions and revenue
• Apply strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills to resolve client and operational issues
• Utilise Opera Cloud and other relevant hospitality systems to manage bookings and reporting

• Matric (NQF 4)Good numeracy and excellent verbal and written English skills (NQF 4)
• Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite and Opera Cloud
• 2–5 years' experience in a team management or supervisory role within a similar environment
