Events Manager

POSITION INFO:

Your hotel conference organisational and leadership skills secures this dynamic role with leading hospitality company! Based in Sandton.

Must possess strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and conflict resolution skills.

Must be proficient in Opera Cloud and other relevant hospitality systems.

Must have excellent emotional intelligence, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.

Must have experience on boarding new employees, identifying development needs, and providing ongoing coaching and training.

Monitor team performance, delegate tasks effectively, oversee daily and weekly operations, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Must have strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure the accuracy of client quotations and oversee effective follow-up processes to maximise booking conversions and revenue.

Essential pre-requisites:

Matric (NQF 4)

Good numeracy, excellent verbal and written English skills (NQF 4)

Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft office Suite and Opera Cloud

Minimum 2 – 5 years’ experience in a team management or supervisory role in a similar role.
