Southern Oil Pty Ltd, an established company and market leader in the manufacturing of Canola oil and related products in the retail, food services, and bulk sectors, has the following exciting career opportunity in Rietpoel.

POSITION INFO:
Short Summary:

The main responsibility of this position is to offload seed from the trucks at the offloading facility, housekeeping the silo complex, cleaning the seed silos when required, and ensure screenings are bagged and stored.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in offloading all incoming seeds from trucks and ensure all material is removed from the trucks.
• Ensure screenings from the cleaning plant are always collected in bulk bags and stored according to good stacking principles.
• Assist in cleaning out seed silos when instructed by the Silo Operator.
• Cleaning of plant equipment, building, and all surrounding areas of the silo complex.
• Report all quality-related problems immediately to the Silo Operator.
• Report all mechanical and maintenance faults observed to Silo Operator.
• Assist the Silo Operator with general tasks within the silo complex as determined by Management.
• Comply with safety, food safety, and environmental procedures as per the SOILL policy.
• It can be expected from all employees to be appointed with certain responsibilities as required by the OSH Act, Food safety regulations, and environmental regulations.
• Any other reasonable tasks allocated by the Silo Operator.
• Assist to perform general duties in other areas as instructed by Management.

• Minimum of a Grade 12
• Literate in English and Afrikaans
• Previous experience working in a silo environment would be an advantage
• Forklift experience will be an advantage
