About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Gearbox Lubrication Technician to work onsite at our Client for shut down. The successful candidate will be responsible for the lubrication, inspection, servicing, and basic maintenance of industrial gearboxes and related mechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine gearbox lubrication and oil changes.
Inspect gearboxes for oil leaks, overheating, wear, and abnormal noise or vibration.
Select and apply the correct lubricants according to manufacturer specifications.
Take and record oil samples for condition monitoring where required.
Maintain accurate lubrication and maintenance records.
Identify potential gearbox and lubrication-related faults.
Assist with gearbox inspections, servicing, and repairs.
Ensure lubrication equipment and tools are properly maintained.
Follow all health, safety, environmental, and maintenance procedures.
Work closely with mechanical and maintenance teams to prevent equipment failures.
Requirements
Previous experience in industrial lubrication, gearbox maintenance, or mechanical maintenance.
Good knowledge of industrial oils, greases, and lubrication practices.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to identify equipment defects.
Ability to work safely around rotating machinery and industrial equipment.
Good attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
Relevant mechanical or lubrication qualification will be an advantage.
Experience with condition monitoring or oil analysis is advantageous.
Valid driver's licence may be required.
