POSITION INFO:

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support within a foreclosure and banking litigation environment.
• Manage and process home loan foreclosure matters from initiation through to the relevant stages of the legal process.
• Assist with banking litigation matters and ensure all documentation is accurately prepared and processed.
• Manage high volumes of matters while maintaining accuracy, quality and turnaround times.
• Ensure all case files and supporting documentation are maintained accurately and systematically.
• Prepare, capture and process legal correspondence, documentation and related administrative requirements.
• Monitor matter progress and ensure relevant deadlines and follow-ups are attended to timeously.
• Maintain accurate records and provide regular reports on matters and workflow.
• Liaise with relevant stakeholders regarding documentation, processes and matter progression.
• Ensure processes are conducted in accordance with applicable legal requirements and procedures, including the National Credit Act.
• Assist with general administrative duties associated with the foreclosure and litigation function.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Foreclosure Secretary or in a closely related legal secretarial role.
• Proven experience within banking litigation is essential.
• Strong previous experience handling home loan foreclosure matters is essential.
• Working knowledge and understanding of the National Credit Act (NCA).
• Demonstrated ability to manage high volumes of work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong administrative and reporting capabilities.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple matters and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
• Strong computer literacy and proficiency in relevant legal and administrative systems.
