SALES CONSULTANT – FOOD SERVICES

POSITION INFO:

Our client is seeking a dynamic, target-driven and customer-focused Sales Consultant to join their team in East London.
The successful candidate will be responsible for growing sales, developing new business opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers within the food services market.
This position would suit a confident and commercially minded individual who enjoys building relationships, identifying customer needs and converting opportunities into sales.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the food services market.
• Grow and maintain relationships with existing customers.
• Conduct regular customer visits and build strong long-term relationships.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products and solutions.
• Promote and sell the company's product range.
• Prepare quotations and follow up on sales opportunities.
• Achieve agreed sales targets and revenue objectives.
• Identify opportunities to increase customer spend and product penetration.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer queries professionally.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales records.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Attend product demonstrations, customer presentations and industry-related events where required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Proven sales experience, preferably within the food services, hospitality, catering or related industry.
• Previous experience dealing with business customers and/or food service clients.
• Strong new business development and relationship-building skills.
• Proven ability to work towards and achieve sales targets.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Good administrative and organisational skills.
• Computer literate, including MS Office.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Own reliable vehicle – essential.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the East London and surrounding areas.
