Food & Beverage Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client, an upmarket hotel and conference center in the Pretoria North area is looking for an experienced F&B Manager to join their team.

POSITION INFO:

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that all venue set ups are completed according to client requirements
• Working hand in hand with the event coordinators
• Management of restaurant venues
• Onsite training for waitering staff
• Teaching of quality service
• Complaint handling and professional problem solving
• Maintaining standards in line with company policies
• Issuing of bar stock
• Daily stock controls
• Management of all equipment and furniture in the restaurant
• Cash-ups, banking, balancing on a daily basis
• Overseeing of all conference venues on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that all day breaks of delegate stations are replenished as well as liaising with function organizers for any changes
• Monthly departmental meetings
• Co-ordinating functions with various departments
• Monthly stocktaking
• Weekly timesheets for staff
• Processing month end figures
• Guest relations
• Staff rosters for maximum productivity
• Reporting to General Manager
• Focusing on sales as well as monthly and annual budgets
• Upholding HR and Health and Safety compliance within the Department

Educational Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Relevant tertiary qualification

Experience and Skills Required:

• 4 – 6 years’ experience in a similar role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Leadership and management skills
