Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, management accounts, variance analyses, cash flow reports and departmental performance reports.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes through financial modelling, data analysis and reporting to senior leadership.
• Manage day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, journal entries, payment batches and month-end close.
• Analyse financial performance, trends, KPIs, operational expenses and working capital to support business decision-making and cost optimisation.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS, tax legislation, internal controls and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial reporting processes, month-end procedures and internal controls.
• Present financial information to non-financial stakeholders and collaborate across departments to provide financial guidance.
• Support internal and external audits through the preparation of documentation and resolution of audit queries.
• Assist with the preparation of South African and USA tax returns.
• Provide guidance and support to junior finance team members where required.

• BCom or Bachelor of Business Science degree.
• A Master's degree or professional qualification such as CA(SA), CMA or equivalent will be advantageous but is not essential.
• Minimum of 2 years' relevant accounting or financial reporting experience.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP or IFRS and general accounting principles.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modelling and pivot tables.
• Experience working with ERP or finance systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle or similar.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving ability and sound commercial judgement.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• High levels of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
