I’m looking for a sharp, switched-on Finance Officer who knows their way around a general ledger and can run a debtor’s book like a well-oiled machine. You’ll be joining a business that moves fast, thinks creatively, and values people who take real ownership of their role.

This position isn’t about clock-watching or coasting — it’s about being the backbone of the day-to-day finance function. From credit control and reconciliations to chasing payments and making sure the ledger sings, you’ll be the one keeping the financial gears turning.

POSITION INFO:

As the Finance Officer, your duties could include the following:
Manage the full debtors’ function — invoicing, allocations, reconciliations, and follow-ups
Take ownership of credit control: sending statements, engaging with clients, and ensuring timely collections
Maintain the general ledger with accuracy and consistency
Process and reconcile payments, receipts, and journal entries
Assist with month-end processes including reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules
Monitor and manage age analysis reports, keeping overdue accounts in check and under control
Liaise with internal teams and clients to resolve queries and ensure clean financial records
Assist with VAT submissions and other compliance-related tasks
Support the Finance Manager with ad hoc reporting, audits, and financial projects

Skills & Experience:
2-3 years of experience in a similar role
Proficiency in Pastel or Sage
Strong communication skills (need to be fluent in Xhosa or Zulu)

Qualification:
Completed Finance Diploma or Certificate would be highly advantageous
Completed Matric (Grade 12)
