POSITION INFO:
A reputable organisation within the financial services sector is seeking a talented Financial Accountant to strengthen their team. This position combines hands-on accounting with leadership exposure in the debt and micro-lending environment. You’ll guide a small team, drive compliance, and play a pivotal role in shaping accurate financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate reconciliations and implement sound financial controls.
Handle tax submissions and ensure compliance with SARS.
Manage general accounting duties from start to finish.
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of two.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Qualifications: BCom degree (SAICA/SAIPA advantageous).
Experience: 2+ years post-articles OR 5+ years finance experience without articles.
Background in financial services is essential; exposure to debt/micro-lending will set you apart.
Strong expertise in reconciliations, SARS processes, and accounting principles.
Previous leadership experience managing at least two team members.
Solid MS Office skills (Excel is a must).
