SUMMARY:
We’re looking for a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of general maintenance staff including carpenters, plumbers, bricklayers, and groundsmen. This role is all about keeping the site running smoothly—overseeing daily maintenance, allocating work, and ensuring everything is done properly and safely.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate a team of maintenance staff (carpenters, bricklayers, plumbers, groundsmen, etc.)
Oversee all facilities maintenance activities, ensuring quality and timely completion
Conduct routine inspections of buildings, infrastructure, and site surroundings
Allocate daily tasks and manage team performance on-site
Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and company procedures
Troubleshoot maintenance issues and provide hands-on support when required
Maintain basic records of maintenance work and reporting

Minimum Requirements:

Matric (Grade 12)
Proven experience in a facilities maintenance supervisory role
Trade-related experience (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, bricklaying or similar)
Strong leadership and team management skills
Ability to work in an industrial or plant environment

Ideal Candidate:

Hands-on and practical—leads from the front, not from behind a desk
Mature and dependable with solid experience managing maintenance teams
Able to handle multiple trades and keep operations running smoothly
Strong problem-solver with a no-nonsense approach to maintenance

Nice-to-Have:

Trade qualification (advantageous)
Experience in power generation, industrial plants, or heavy environments
