FMCG SALES REPRESENTATIVE

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to be responsible for the sales and distribution of meat and protein products within the informal market sector in the Pretoria area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships, identifying new sales opportunities, driving product sales, and ensuring excellent customer service. The role requires regular travel throughout the Pretoria area, with a company vehicle provided for business-related duties.
Key Responsibilities

• Drive sales of meat and protein products supplied by the farm and abattoir.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers within the informal sector.
• Identify and pursue new business and sales opportunities within the Pretoria market.
• Conduct regular customer visits and travel throughout the designated sales territory.
• Present and promote products to prospective and existing customers.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products.
• Negotiate sales and pricing within approved company guidelines.
• Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.
• Maintain regular communication and follow up with customers.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, customer needs, and potential business opportunities.
• Process and maintain accurate sales-related documentation and records.
• Complete relevant sales administration and reporting.
• Ensure professional representation of the company during customer visits.
• Use the company vehicle responsibly and in accordance with company policies.
• Perform general administrative and ad hoc duties as required.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements

• Previous experience in sales, preferably within the meat, food, FMCG, wholesale, retail, or related industry.
• Proven ability to generate sales and develop new business.
• Experience working with customers within the informal market sector will be advantageous.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Good communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory effectively.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Ability to travel regularly as required by the position.
• A valid driver’s licence is essential.
• Good computer literacy and the ability to complete basic sales administration.
