Salary Negotiable

Suppliers to the building industry, retailers and hardware chains seek a Sales Rep to call on existing customers and cold call on new customers, selling plastic composites, awnings, roof sheets, resins, etc

Please only apply if you have min Matric, basic math, know/understand measurements standards like cm, m2, mm, lm etc and ideally from the roofing/building industry

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

Matric

Bilingual

Good telephone etiquette

Computer literate, tech-savvy, WAZIERP

Basic math, know what cm, m2, mm, lm etc, stands for

Highly motivated and target orientated

Excellent selling skills

Time management

Be able to negotiate and think on your feet, up-sell

Always keep the customer’s best interest at heart

Be a good listener

Always be neat and dressed appropriately for visiting clients

Know your market, keep a good relationship with competitors

Responsibilities

Present, promote and sell our range and services to existing and new clients

Presenting solid arguments to existing and new clients regarding our range we stock

Build customer relationships

Follow-up customer leads and expanding our clientele base

Cold calling

Make sure our range is well presented in the retail market and with architects

Construction site visits

Deal with enquiries

Handle customer complaints

Achieve monthly targets

Do daily admin

Liaise with our manufacturing and imports department regarding out of stocks and orders outstanding

Monitor the company’s industry competitors, new products and market conditions to understand a customer’s specific needs

Work closely with the marketing department to help build the brand

Make sure the vehicle is licensed

Supply management with reports on customer needs and problems and interests

Counter sales when office-based

Cash up

Credit applications for new clients

Credits for wrong invoices dispatched

Submit reports on sales activity, regularly into the company’s CRM software and  update records for all leads and customers

Manage business to business sales

Assist with deliveries when needed

Make sure account customers stick to the 30 days agreement

Make sure cash customers pay before being invoiced
