Position: External Sales Agents*3

Location: Cape Town & Somerset West, Cape Town

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

K2 Recruit is seeking three ambitious and results-driven External Sales Agents to join a leading client's Commercial Division in Cape Town.

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced sales professionals who enjoy business development, building long-term relationships and working within the commercial construction and property environment.

The successful candidates will be responsible for generating new business and developing relationships with key industry professionals, including architects, quantity surveyors, interior designers, developers and other stakeholders involved in commercial projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities within the commercial market.

• Conduct cold calling and business development activities to generate new leads and opportunities.

• Build, develop and maintain strong relationships with architects, quantity surveyors, interior designers, property developers and other relevant industry professionals.

• Meet clients at their offices and on-site to understand project requirements and identify suitable product solutions.

• Promote and specify the company's commercial product offering within relevant projects.

• Manage the full sales process, from prospecting and relationship development through to follow-up and securing business.

• Maintain a structured pipeline of opportunities and manage appointments, follow-ups and client communication effectively.

• Work towards and consistently achieve monthly sales targets.

• Develop a strong understanding of commercial projects and the financial requirements associated with them.

• Provide professional product presentations and maintain a high standard of customer service.

• Build long-term relationships that generate repeat and referral business.

• Maintain accurate sales records and administration using relevant systems, including SAP.

• Work collaboratively with internal teams while independently managing your allocated territory and client portfolio.

• Participate in showroom duties one weekend per month.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Matric / Grade 12 is essential.

• Minimum of 3--5 years' proven sales experience.

• Demonstrated experience in external sales, business development or a client-facing commercial sales environment.

• Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding monthly sales targets.

• Experience selling into or working on large commercial projects would be highly advantageous.

• Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to understand project requirements and commercial considerations.

• Excellent relationship-building and networking abilities.

• Comfortable engaging with senior professionals and decision-makers.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong presentation and negotiation skills.

• Highly organised, with excellent administration, follow-up and time-management skills.

• Self-motivated, disciplined and able to work independently.

• High level of emotional intelligence and professional maturity.

• Strong customer service orientation.

• Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Experience using SAP would be advantageous.

• Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport are essential.
