CUSTOMER SERVICE (FRUIT EXPORT)

Responsibilities:

1)      Provide support to the Company commercial team for requests from third party export customers.

2)      Resolve customers’ concerns and answer customers’ questions.

Duties:

1)      Assist the commercial team in the collection and preparation of the necessary information to provide VISIBILITY to the customers in the following matters:

a)       Update on the actual loadings

i)        What has been loaded with correspondent ETA’s per variety on each vessel

ii)       What has been packed but not loaded yet (in stock)

b)      Update on containers arriving.

c)       Future Product plan to be packed and exported in the week to come.

2)      Provide customers with copies of Excel packing lists

3)      Provide visibility reports to certain logistics operators such as TIBA.

4)      Preparation of consignee sheet information on platform needed by logistics service provider (Example: LCL)

5)      Inform customers about status of export documentation.

6)      Follow-up on container releases and proactively seek to reduce extra logistics costs due to delays.

7)      Assist the commercial team with ad hoc operational needs which may include, but not limited to:

a)       Management of customer sticker requirements on export cartons

b)      Supplying photos of fruit packed in the pack house

c)       Provide information about quality certifications.

8)      Assist the commercial team with ad hoc administration needs which may include, but not limited to:

a)       Financial statements of each customer.

b)      Check on payments from customers.

c)       Send invoices when customer requests.

Requirements:

1. University degree
2. Excellent English, Afrikaans communications skills (verbal & written)
3. Expected to work well within a team.  Close working relationship expected with Commercial, Finance and Operations teams, including Logistics controller and Operations manager
4. Computer literate, including familiarity with Excel.
5. Comfortable with administrative function
6. Strong interpersonal skills and service attitude.
