What Will You Do?
Event implementation is crucial to regional strategy, volume opportunities, and brand-building consumer experiences.
This role is responsible for executing all events in the Coastal region and to identify, liaise, plan, attend and oversee execution of small to large-sized events and activations. Ensure the brand and branding is represented in the right manner, events and activations are set-up and executed on time, and that we do this within the agreed budget provided.
The role includes planning for, negotiating, and overseeing the successful events in the region and identifying new opportunities.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Primary Responsibilities:
KPA 1: Event and activation opportunities unlocking                                                                                                             
  • Keep abreast of all relevant event and activation opportunities and present to GM and KAM for consideration and exploration
  • Connect with relevant industry players to identify opportunities
  • Plan and maintain a detailed and ROI/volume focused event calendar for the year
  • Ensure we have regular events scheduled and executed as per the event calendar (at least one event per week)
KPA 2: Event & Activation stakeholders liaising
  • Respond to all event inquiries and convert inquiries into booked events
  • Liaise with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure the event requirements are agreed to and are feasible and approved prior to commitment
  • Identify and manage what resources are required and if internal and/or external suppliers are required
  • Communicate and confirm all event and activation executional plans to all stakeholders leading up to the event
  • Liaise with Social Media content manager to optimise event and activation marketing, pre-during and post event (when required)
  • Responsible for the Event & activation calendar and weekly updates and sharing internally
KPA 3: Brand/Volume objective adherence and representation
  • Identify and ensure alignment between events and activations and brand event and activation objectives
  • Plan and manage brand collateral where required to adequately represent the brand
  • Target events with the right audience profile that meets the volume and brand target audience
  • Capture images at agreed events and activations, to contribute to content plan and remarket across social media channels
KPA 4: Stock, Event Equipment and Cost Management
  • Place orders for events and activations as agreed
  • Follow-up on approvals and delivery of stock where required to ensure on time shipment and delivery
  • Book and secure budget approval for all event related equipment and stock
  • Manage stock and event equipment maintenance, return and recon post event
KPA 5: Planning and communication
  • Work hours to include weekends and holiday days aligned to calendar and activity plan. Work hours flexible and subject to weekly signoff
  • Quarterly event plan to be maintained and communicated on a month to month rolling basis
  • Support districts with customer events when required to do so and signed off by KAM/GM
  • Event M&E reported on based on ROI calculations and consumer feedback on a weekly basis
Requirements of the Role:
  • Qualification: Degree or Diploma in marketing, event, public relations, advertising, hospitality or similar fields
  • Years Experience: minimum of 1 year experience in events, brand activations, brand ambassador or related industry experience
  • Experience in multi-event & activation calendar coordination
  • Experience in planning and coordinating multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in budget management
  • Experience in brand management or agency experience will be added benefit
