POSITION INFO:

RedCat Recruitment is urgently seeking a qualified and EXPERIENCED BOOKEEPER for a large, well-established concern. Position based in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Grade 12.

Valid Code 08 driver’s license / own reliable vehicle.

Diploma or Degree in Accounting.

Competent computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet). Advanced MS Excel skills (will be tested).

3yrs+ previous working experience in a bookkeeping role.

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, journals, and trial balances.

Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.

Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including supplier and customer reconciliations.

Process payroll (leave) and ensure compliance with SARS, UIF, and PAYE regulations.

Manage VAT, EMP201, and other statutory submissions.

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.

Ensure adherence to internal controls.

Maintain accurate records for trust accounts (if applicable), in line with LPC or industry-specific regulations.

Ensure compliance with POPIA, Companies Act, and other relevant legislation.

Prepare and process payovers, ensuring accuracy, timely execution, and compliance with relevant financial and regulatory requirements.

Attend to any related queries or follow-ups as needed.
