Dispatch Manager

POSITION INFO:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Dispatch Manager to oversee dispatch operations and ensure that goods are delivered efficiently, accurately, and on time. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily dispatch operations, ensuring timely delivery of products to customers.

• Oversee loading, routing, and scheduling of delivery vehicles.

• Monitor staff performance and ensure compliance with company standards and SOPs.

• Liaise with the warehouse and logistics teams to streamline order processing and inventory movement.

• Ensure health & safety, food safety, and hygiene standards are upheld at all times.

• Resolve delivery issues or customer complaints in a professional manner.

• Generate dispatch reports and analyze KPIs to drive continuous improvement.

• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and vehicle tracking.

Requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12); Logistics or Supply Chain qualification advantageous.

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role within the FMCG environment.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent knowledge of dispatch processes, route planning, and fleet management.

• Familiarity with inventory and warehouse management systems.

• Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume, fast-moving environment.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
