POSITION INFO:

We’re looking for an experienced and hands-on Dispatch Coordinator to manage and coordinate the preparation, dispatch and loading of materials for delivery.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that materials are correctly identified, allocated, packed, documented and safely loaded according to contract and project requirements. The role requires someone who is highly organised, accurate and able to work effectively under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the complete dispatch and loading process.
• Identify and verify materials against contracts and delivery requirements.
• Plan truck loads according to delivery requirements, space, weight and loading sequence.
• Ensure all required materials are loaded before departure.
• Check materials against dispatch lists, delivery notes and packing lists.
• Prepare and pack materials onto pallets.
• Supervise the safe and efficient loading of trucks.
• Liaise with Workshop, Stores, Production, Contracts and Transport teams.
• Identify and report shortages, discrepancies or incorrect materials.
• Ensure delivery documentation is accurately completed.
• Maintain accurate dispatch and loading records.
• Ensure signed delivery documentation is returned and filed.
• Comply with company Health & Safety, quality and dispatch procedures.

Skills & Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience in Dispatch, Logistics, Stores, Loading or a similar role.
• Proven practical experience loading materials onto trucks.
• Experience verifying materials against contracts, project requirements and delivery documentation.
• Experience planning and coordinating truck loads.
• Experience packing materials onto pallets for transportation.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong planning and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Computer literate.
• Ability to work effectively with Workshop, Stores, Production and Transport teams.
• Afrikaans and English proficiency will be advantageous.
• Safety-conscious, reliable and willing to take ownership of the dispatch process.
