Digital Marketing & E-Commerce Manager

Our client, based in the Southern Suburbs is looking for an experienced Digital Marketing & E-Commerce Manager to take ownership of the digital strategy across a portfolio of brands based in the UK. This is a hands-on role covering Google Ads, Meta, SEO, email/CRM, content, analytics and e-commerce performance, with a strong focus on revenue growth and profitability.

You will develop and execute digital marketing strategies, manage budgets and performance, optimise customer acquisition, oversee content and CRM activity, and use data to identify opportunities for growth. You will also manage one direct report and work closely with internal teams , freelancers and creators to deliver high performing campaigns.

REQUIREMENTS

• Matric, or equivalent qualification
• 5–8 years' digital marketing experience, ideally within e-commerce/online retail
• At least 2 years of managing the full digital marketing function for a brand or portfolio
• Experience managing an annual marketing budget
• Proven ability to demonstrate results by brand and channel
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Ads and Merchant Center
• Strong Meta advertising experience
• Experience building content pipelines and working with creators
• Experience managing email flows and campaigns, ideally using Klaviyo
• Strong knowledge of GA4 and tag management
• Experience developing and managing an SEO strategy
• Personally build campaigns, writes copy, manages feeds and produces reports
• Comfortable testing, analysing and improving activity personally
• Commercially focused and highly data-driven
• UK or European e-commerce experience
• Shopify or WooCommerce and CRO experience
• Creator/influencer programme experience
• Google and Meta certifications

• Own the digital marketing strategy for each brand and the overall portfolio
• Develop annual and seasonal marketing plans
• Audit performance against digital best practice and prioritise improvements based on commercial impact
• Own online revenue growth while managing acquisition costs and profitability
• Monitor MER, CAC, contribution and channel performance and take action based on the data
• Define clear roles and positioning for each brand within the market
• Prevent brands from competing against each other in paid search
• Structure accounts, product feeds and customer lists appropriately by brand
• Identify opportunities to share content and resources across brands while maintaining distinct brand identities
• Personally manage Google Ads and Google Merchant Center
• Build and optimise campaign structures, product feeds and Shopping activity
• Test Performance Max and other relevant opportunities
• Carry out regular search-term analysis and campaign hygiene
• Manage budgets and campaign pacing based on weather, stock and seasonal demand
• Test Microsoft Ads where commercially justified
• Own Meta advertising from strategy through to execution
• Establish a regular creative testing programme and use performance data to guide decisions
• Develop first-party audiences and make effective use of reviews and customer-generated content
• Manage content calendars and ensure assets are produced against agreed plans
• Set and manage the SEO strategy for each brand
• Develop keyword strategies and track performance against target terms
• Identify technical SEO requirements and work with the Head of Digital to prioritise development work
• Build and optimise email flows, including welcome, abandoned basket, post-purchase, replenishment and win-back
• Own monthly campaign calendars and segmentation
• Ensure activity complies with UK consent requirements
• Ensure accurate tracking across GA4, tag management and consent mode
• Maintain a clear and consistent view of attribution and performance
• Manage weekly budget pacing and take corrective action where required
• Set clear weekly priorities and provide written briefs.
• Set objectives and maintain a clear performance scorecard
• Brief and manage freelancers and creators against measurable outcomes
• Develop playbooks and repeatable processes for core marketing activities
