POSITION INFO:
Position Overview:
The company is looking for a motivated and proactive Developer who takes initiative and enjoys solving complex problems.
The ideal candidate will have strong PHP experience, a keen interest in cybersecurity, and a drive to automate.
Your primary focus will be on maintaining and securing the companies Cloud environments, identifying and remediating vulnerabilities, and improving overall system security.
 
Responsibilities:

• Proactively identify, patch, and remediate vulnerabilities within PHP-based applications.
• Secure and automate management tasks in Cloud environments.
• Collaborate with teams to implement secure coding practices.
• Develop and enhance automation scripts.
• Regularly conduct security assessments and document findings clearly and concisely.
• Take initiative to recommend and implement security improvements.

• 2+ years’ experience in PHP development.
• Experience or familiarity with AWS and Google Cloud, focusing on security configurations.
• Familiarity with automation tools and scripting (Bash, Python, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving skills and proactive mindset.
• Ability to independently research and apply new security technologies.

• Certifications or training in cybersecurity (e.g., Security+, CISSP, Cloud Security certifications).
• Knowledge of common security vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10).
• Previous experience in a healthcare or regulated industry (HIPAA, POPIA).
• Experience conducting penetration testing or vulnerability assessments.

• Intermediate (2–5 years relevant experience)
