JOB DESCRIPTION:

Driver

Introduction

A position has become available for a Driver. Job Purpose: The applicant will form part of the two drivers based at head office that will rotate on a weekly basis to drive the truck to Lesotho and back. The rotation will be one week nightshift one week dayshift.

Description:

Collect / deliver components and finish products to and from customers on a daily basis
Off-load the truck daily
Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspection of vehicle
Report any incidents
Follow all appropriate traffic laws
Report any faults or defects that may occur immediately
Keep truck and associated equipment tidy and in good working order
Work overtime on short notice including weekends and public holidays as and when required by Management
Assist with Stores activities as allocated to you by Management

Profile

Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent
Distribution experience is essential, the applicant must be able to deal with internal / external customers
in a professional, polite and prompt manner
Proven working experience as a delivery driver
